Newport Kite Festival X Wind Wolves Traveling Kite Show Our practice and pregame look a little different than most.

This past weekend, we were flying at the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Liberty State Park with the Wind Wolves Traveling Kite Show, putting kites in the sky and getting ready for the biggest show of the summer.

Next stop: the Newport Kite Festival.

Every flight, every setup, and every event along the way leads to one thing—creating unforgettable moments for families and kite lovers of all ages.

Children ages 6–12 can let their creativity soar as they design and build their very own kite. Then, take it home and practice flying together as a family before bringing it to Newport Kite Festival on July 11–12. Watch your child fly their handmade kite over Brenton Point State Park as part of a new generation carrying on a Rhode Island tradition that has brought people together for four decades.
