As some of you know, Iām also a boutique store owner. True conversation with a customer today: A gentleman approached me not knowing that Iām the artist āIām not trying to be disrespectful or ignorant, but why is this painting priced at $695?ā I told him that most artists price per square inch and then add extra depending if itās in a custom frame. āOkay but itās just abstract makes no sense to me and itās just a bunch of colors thrown together.ā I calmly answered back, true but you just spent the last 20 minutes looking at this painting trying to figure it out whereas you looked at the floral painting that is hung next to it for 2 seconds. An abstract painting captures your curiosity every time! Mic Drop š¤
