Our friends at Curran Brewing Company are hosting a 5K Trail Run or for slower paced, a 1.5 mi Walk for a good Cause. Also, the Bar is Open to public 11 to 5pm for 16 Oz Curls 🍺💪

Big Foot Wally didn’t mean to wander all the way to "Lake Fred", he was simply on a mission to track down a smooth, balanced, hazy Mountainhouse SpecialTEA IPA, available in Cans, only at Mountainhouse Tavern!

That’s when he ran into Nessi—two legends of Promised Land lore locking eyes like they’d just discovered the other one wasn’t a rumor.

They bonded instantly:
complaining about modern surveillance, terrible angles in blurry photos, and how humans never manage to capture their good sides. Eventually Nessi offered Wally a lift across the lake. He climbed onto her back, and together they cruised through the moonlit water like two celebrities escaping paparazzi—no cameras, no footprints, no ripples, just two myths taking the night off.

Exterior Works Roofing Specialist has been working all week through this ugly humid HEAT! Meanwhile, wimpie Chefs are shutting down their Kitchens... they'd never survive one hour up on the roof. Shingles can hit 150–170°F, metal roofing can spike even higher, and the sun reflects off every surface like a personal assault.

There’s a strange pride in it. Extreme heat becomes a badge of honor — a test of endurance, teamwork, and stubbornness. Crews look out for each other constantly, watching for signs of heat exhaustion like it’s second nature.

I spoke with Tammy McCloskey aka "TK" who told me they drink a ton a Gatorade and closely watch out for each other, with frequent breaks. TK also shared some upcoming plans as well, when we asked for photos and Thanked her and Rob for the Support: "We are Locals and always support Locals. We are also looking into donating a roof to a family in need". That's a COOL thought, we'll share more info here as it develops.

We did find a Mascot on the Sponsor side.... Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard "ICE GUY". The brutally cold weather in early Feb gave him a Brain freeze, what do you expect from a guy that doesn't wear a hat! We're hoping "ICE GUY" returns and we can host a Mascot Race. We have inside info that a certain Penguin named "TUX" of WBS Pens wants to enter. We need more Mascots, who is in?

It's National Mascot Day & TBT and we haven't had a team bring their own mascot yet (we'll have special prizes for those that do!). The Closest we've come to a Wally Ice mascot is "Santa". He played during our "Wally at Watonka" off-ice year in 2020. Looking more Gnome-like without the Snow & Ice, Santa was not too nimble on the Courts. But he did get up on stage and Sing & Dance, just need to ask him using Code: ‘Santa’s got a brand new bag.’
