Mural Club 2026-2027 has been in motion!
We are working on a two piece mural project in Wilson. ⛵️ We have reached our “half way” as base colors get put in this week and details start taking shape.
The Village of Wilson Town Pier has a fence and shelter wall getting some color with family friendly characters like fish, turtles, seagull, and bubbles.
The Wilson Pier (long garden retaining wall) will have sunset colors and a Welcome to Wilson message visible to boats entering the harbor. It will be similar to the retaining wall on Market Street in Lockport with its bolder colors and smooth graphics.
Our mural club kids come from Wilson, Royhart, Newfane, and Lockport. A lot of them have been part of WAHI for years! 💗 They were carefully selected and invited to participate as future community leaders (giving back is natural to them) as well as their work ethic and creativity.
A special thank you to Mayor Greg Martin for inviting us and making things move (literally) when needed.
Becky Patterson and myself (Miss Jess) are the instructors for these projects.
These projects were made possible by the With Youth, For Youth grant funded by the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation and Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.
