29th recital is over and reflecting on the fact that I have made it to this point. I have been trying to shine my light on students as my way to give back something that I truly love to do. Needless to say it was a rough year with my husband having 3 surgeries since the beginning of the 29th year. Though it seems as though my light is dimming, yes I am getting older, I am not giving up just yet. I have taught many a student that I am now teaching their daughter so it has really come full circle. As many of you know I never had a daughter nor will I have any grandchildren so being a part of Studio 3 is my way of having both of them. I know I put my heart and soul into this business- God's way of telling me this is my purpose on Earth. I hope you feel your child's life has been enriched in many ways not only in dance or twirling but things we do with them that I feel matter. The exact reason I picked "SHINE YOUR LIGHT " for the finale. It is a song about spreading love, kindness and helping others which I certainly think this world needs today.
So THANK YOU for letting us SHINE OUR LIGHT and I hope you enjoyed the show and the kind of different finale we did this year.
