It's been a while! Activity and participation was lacking, so we shut down the NA&E Council, but it seems like interest is making a comeback. Please comment if you're interested in volunteering for the council. If we have enough interest, I'll set up a meeting! Our basic goal is to help raise money for art programs and scholarships for the local schools.

The Newcastle Arts and Entertainment Council is planning a meeting for 7pm on Tuesday, February 5 at the Newcastle Storm Shelter based off of interest. Please let me know if you are interested in attending. We will be discussing future projects.

Newcastle's First Annual Art Contest is this Saturday! We have 700 pieces of art to view. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Newcastle schools. It will be at the Newcastle Storm Shelter (851 N Carr). $5 for adults and $1 for students. Cash only.
