“Shared Habitat Earth” is full of gems by artists whose hearts, work and intentions amplify the love and reverence for the Mother. PEG is honored to be showing their work.
I love this piece!
Artist, Joe Caruso.
“Hard-Rock Cafe,” charcoal and pastel on paper, 42x44”, detail.
“Rocks are symbols of strength, durability, stability, longevity, patience and comfort. They are often associated with the divine and eternal and sometimes serve as sacred markers….Although not alive, they host living things and are important to the coastal ecosystem….These charcoal drawings depict rocks that line Gloucester harbor. And what is more basic than charcoal, a medium that comes from the Earth itself?”

"Borders” by Jennifer Carol Schweigert, oil on canvas, is simply gorgeous, full of subtlety and nuance, passionate colors and whispers of human involvement...
Carol's statement: "I paint from direct observation in oil and gouache, indoors and out, sometimes in the rain, and very rarely in the snow.
I returned to oil painting, from the world of child rearing. The abstract expressionism of my education seemed so last century. I leapt further back with a wooden French easel and headed out into the fresh air.
I record our environment; painting changes through the year and over the years." www.carolschweigert.com

“Up and Away,” by wrack-line artist and activist, Rebecca McGee Tuck. 39x18x15”. The wrack-line: a trail of debris left on the beach by the high tide.
Rebecca writes: “ I walk the wrack line of the Massachusetts coastline, collecting debris. With each bag of marine trash that I bring into my studio, I feel the precarious weight of the impact of pollution in our oceans. I hope to raise awareness to the constant misuse of the ocean’s ecosystem by transforming pieces of sea debris into works of art and symbols of hope… Calling attention to the consequences of poisoning our oceans and encouraging a new commitment to action!”
