Our May 9 feature will be Violinist Michelle Cloutier...not to be missed! She will be playing a bit of Bach AND will be joined for a few tunes with classical guitarist Scott Ouellette ( a Bluebird "alum" ). Make sure you mark your calendars, grab some friends and come out for a very special evening of music ...all for $10.00 in a very friendly and casual environment !

Michelle O. Cloutier graduated cm laude from Boston Conservatory with both a BM and an MM in Violin Performance. She studied with Magdalena Richter, Bonnie Bewick and Irina Muresanu. Additional studies include a summer session at the Killington Music Festival in Killington, Vermont where she studied with Yehonatan Berick and Ms. Muresanu. She also holds Suzuki Certifications Book 1-5 at the Suzuki School of Newton in Newton, Massachusetts. She actively accepts performance opportunities with several orchestras in southern New Hampshire, the North Shore of Massachusetts and in Wakefield Massachusetts. She has also been invited to and has served on the Jury of the PSA Young Artist Competition in Arlington, Massachusetts. She currently runs her own violin studio in Newton, New Hampshire teaching different levels of violin to students of all ages, she teaches at Timberlane Performing Arts Center as well.
Since beginning violin at the tender age of 6, Mrs. Cloutier has performed solo, in chamber music and in orchestral groups throughout New England, in Florida, and in Canada and France. As a teenager, Mrs. Cloutier attended the New England Conservatory Preparatory School for several years. When she was a senior in High School, she won the Concerto Competition, and was invited to perform the Bruch Violin Concerto, 1st Movement with her High School orchestra. Most recently, Mrs. Cloutier was invited to perform with the Rockingham Choral Society as a member of the chamber orchestra, she was invited to perform with and accompany children of all ages with the Sempre Musick Orchestra in North Andover, Massachusetts, she was invited to play several concerts with the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra, and sit as concertmaster for the Hillyer Festival Orchestra in their summer music concert at Maudslay Fine Arts Center in Newburyport, Massachusetts. She is currently performing on rotation with the Firebird Pops Orchestra as assistant concertmaster. Mrs Cloutier lives with her amazing husband and two beautiful children in southern New Hampshire, and loves caring for her two labrador retrievers.
