CLASS ACT

When audiences arrive for CLASS ACT, the newest production from The Empty Head Theater Company, they don’t take a seat so much as they’re processed. The evening is made up of seven short plays, written and performed by the ensemble and presented in no particular order. Each piece is built as a complete work, structured with the weight and intention of a full-length play compressed into a shorter form. There are no soft transitions, no blackouts designed to give the audience a break. Stories end. Another begins. The system remains.
From the first step inside, the message is clear—this isn’t a show you watch from a safe distance. You’re already part of the system. What emerges is not immersive theater in the fashionable sense. The audience isn’t asked to role-play or participate. They are simply placed—sorted, seated, and surrounded.

Assigned a class at the door, you're trapped in a cardboard world. Experience 6 bold short plays on power, status, and social systems.
