Did you know that Ernie Shealy, our town's own historian, has items in Create Newberry's Artisan Shop? The Artisan Shop is located inside the Newberry Arts Center at 1200 Main Street. Stop in and take a look at all the work of our local talented artists.

Don't forget to visit the Newberry Arts Center and check out our 2025 Plein Air Display! This year's annual paint out had almost 30 participants who created vibrant depictions of scenes around Newberry using the 2D media of their choice. These pieces will be on display and for sale until the end of May!

On May 3, NAC hosted the 2025 Plein Air Paint Out in partnership with the South Carolina Watermedia Society and CREATE Newberry. Nearly 30 artists from around SC gathered to paint live outdoor scenes of Newberry. These pieces will be on display and for sale at the Newberry Arts Center until the end of May, so don’t forget to stop by and appreciate these one-of-a-kind paintings of our local landmarks! A huge thank you to the incredible artists who make this possible, we hope to see you again next year!

This Saturday at Pork in the Park CREATE raised $1,646.00 for local food banks with the help of our incredible community! These funds will be distributed to Feed Thy Neighbor, God's Abundance for All People, and The Living Hope Foundation. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the local potters who donated pieces, and to those who purchased a bowl in support of the cause. We could not do this without you!
