Congratulations to the DCHS Art Club for winning 1st Place in the individual cowbell design for Homecoming week! Clubs & organizations each decorate them annually to be auctioned off. This year, the DCHS Administration chose Art Club’s Choctaw-themed design for 1st Place. The bells are all auctioned off at the DCHS Homecoming game to support “Paws to Care”, the Dyersburg, TN non-profit for animal welfare and rescue organization. Paul Flowers was the lucky bidder of $75 for the Art Club bell, which he can be seen proudly holding in the last picture. Congrats to Cindy Barreto, Jayliana Mason, and Tyson Godwin for your creativity, and for putting in the work to support your school and this great organization!

*A little added addition to the design were real feathers that came from Art Club Sponsor/teacher Marjie Sanderson’s peacocks🧡

Art Club Officers and artists Zoey Rogers and Allison Morgan painted a BIG RED APPLE that will be a part of the 2026 DCHS Prom decorations, whose theme is “Midnight in Manhattan”. What is “The Big Apple” without a big red apple??!? Mission accomplished!🍎
