The name Mercedes means "merciful servant of the Lord." My hope is that through my business I can serve my Lord with mercy and repentance. I loved drawing throughout my entire childhood and that has branched into something much larger. As of right now, my art consists of peaceful nature scenes. 🌼 gentle and lowly 🌼

I painted this yesterday, wanting to experiment with texture and a different style than I normally use. When I finished it the painting reminded me of one of the recent sermons at my church. It made me think of the gentle and lowly character of Jesus. I think nature, His creation often reflects who He is, and I see that in this painting.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

The Storybook Adventure Begins ✨📖

Introducing the tale of Ricky the Raccoon and one of his many adventures. My grandpa, Steve Crouse, has been telling these stories to his children and grandchildren over the years. My hope is to help bring these stories to life with illustrations, and to continue passing on the wisdom held in each book. My grandpa and I will be working together to bring this book and others to life!

Ricky the Raccoon is considered the wisest of the animals in a small woods. All of the other critters of this woods come to him with their problems, and receive his wisdom whether they are truly looking for it or not. Each of these stories tells the tale of a different animal needing the guidance Ricky can give through the wisdom he receives from the Bible.

I began illustrating this book about a year ago with a different art style, but decided to go a different route with the style and layout. If you are interested in this book, follow along on the illustration process!
