Deadline extended — Newark Arts’ ArtStart Grants 2026–27 are now accepting applications through May 4th at 11:59 PM.

This year, we’re prioritizing Arts & Wellness — funding projects that use creative expression to support mental health, cultural healing, and real community connection.

From storytelling and public art to movement, music, and intergenerational work — if your project centers care, joy, and healing, we want to support it.

Open to Newark-based artists, collectives, nonprofits, schools, and community groups — with priority given to projects serving youth, elders, and underserved communities. Grants awarded up to $5,000.

Step into a vivid exploration of identity, transformation, and the natural world in A Body, A Garden, A Mind, a new exhibition by Stella Chang. Through layered compositions and expressive forms, Chang invites viewers to consider the body as both landscape and vessel.
