What a great day at the AECC! ☀️

A huge thank you to the Newark STEADY Work Program for building a brand-new GaGa Ball Pit in our courtyard just in time for summer.

The fun didn’t stop there. Our students joined forces with our friends from Wayne ARC to add some color and personality, turning it into a true community project. 🎨🤝🏾

This was a perfect example of what happens when people come together to make something special. The result is a vibrant addition to our center for our young people to enjoy all summer long. 🙌🏾

Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen. Teamwork does indeed make the dream work!

What happens when schools, community organizations, and young people come together with a purpose? You uplift an entire community.

Today marked the grand finale of our UPLIFT Mentoring Program, celebrating both our graduating 5th grade mentees as they prepare for NMS and our graduating student mentors.

Throughout this program, incredible connections were built between Kelley School students and our high school mentors. Even more powerful was the growth we witnessed from everyone involved. Confidence grew, leadership developed, and meaningful relationships were formed along the way.

This is only the beginning. We look forward to continuing to grow and expand UPLIFT in the future.

A huge thank you to Newark Central School District, Peaceful Schools, Wayne County Community Schools, and our AECC staff for making this program possible. Most importantly, thank you to our student mentors and mentees for representing what UPLIFT stands for:

Uniting Positive Leaders & Inspiring For Tomorrow ✨
