Today, Hispanic Federation’s FUERZAfest stands loud and proud for World AIDS Day as we honor our past, empower our present, and fight for a healthier future!

HIV remains a major U.S. health crisis, affecting Latino, Black, and Southern communities the hardest. Too many people still do not know their status, and too many lack access to the care and prevention they deserve.

At FUERZAfest, we use art, culture, and community to break stigma, educate, spark conversation, and push for real change.

We see you. We stand with you.

And together, we fight for a future free of HIV.

Yesterday, we gathered with over 60 incredible community members for our Breaking Bread & Building Bonds event, hosted by the Hispanic Federation and the Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes. Through shared meals and heartfelt conversations, we created safe spaces to connect, listen, and uplift each other’s stories.

In a time when hate threatens to divide us, events like this remind us of the power of unity, empathy, and dialogue. Let’s keep showing up for one another—because building bonds is how we build a stronger NYC.
