As only a few 🎟️ remain to our July 3 screening of James Cameron's ALIENS (1986) on 70mm 🎞️ (don't delay in obtaining your tickets: filmlinc.org/70), we're resharing this early test footage of the film's third act star: the Alien Queen herself!

According to the Stan Winston School of Character Arts, "for a Stan Winston Studio proof-of-concept test, stunt performers puppeteered ski-pole arm extensions from inside a crane-suspended ‘garbage bag queen’ in the studio parking lot, a simple foam mockup covered in black trash bags. 'Just to see if this concept worked,' Winston said, 'and it did. Once we knew that the concept worked, all we had to do was figure out how we were going to build it for real.'

It was great having director Julian Schnabel join us to share his new film IN THE HAND OF DANTE at our special Patron screening, presented in partnership with ROLEX, yesterday evening!

Having made its World Premiere at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, IN THE HAND OF DANTE is currently in select theaters and will be available on Netflix beginning June 24.
