Take a madcap ride back in history to NYC in the 1980s. Down on the Lower East Side, creativity was flowing. Rents were cheap. The artists created their own “scene” that made some rich and famous, and left others behind.

Make Me Famous captures NYC’s explosive 1980s Downtown art scene where punk, paint, music, and nightlife collided. At its edge stood painter Edward Brezinski, whose story reveals the era’s DIY grit, ambition and where the dream of making it felt just within reach and heartbreakingly out of grasp.
