Brooklyn’s Finest has been serving the Sunset Park community for 15 years under the name of Tropical Image Dancers. Tropical Image was formed in October 2000 and its evolution of skills in addition to their grace, style, and domination of

musicality through their choreography, fast footwork and overall technique, allowed the company to become one of the most diverse, distinctive and unique dance companies of the Latin/Mambo community for their preservation and enrichment of the Latin dance heritage. Tropical Image became one of the top four performing companies in the New York Latin/Mambo Community and the most accomplished in Brooklyn. The dancers – known for their technique, fast footwork and energetic shows – were labeled “Brooklyn’s Finest Dancers,” and the name Brooklyn’s Finest Dance Studio was legally acquired in 2009, to honor the team’s nickname and the standards set by the Director, Ms. Arelis Beato, aka “Magic Feet” and “Brooklyn’s Mambo Queen.”
Tropical Image started a “Get Kids Off the Street” Project in June 2001 and formally became a non-profit in 2007, as Tropical Image Inc.
