Destination is heading to Austin! (Link in bio for tickets)

Jarrott Productions is excited to announce that its May 14-31, 2026 production will be George Ayres’s play, Destination, performed at the Trinity Street Playhouse, located inside First Austin Church at 901 Trinity Street, Austin, TX.

When 83-year old retired architect and widower Howard Wright is met with two unexpected personal crises, he escapes his assisted living facility in Houston determined to overcome his own stasis by taking matters into his own hands.

Destination is a bittersweet yet humorous look at life and love among a generation that is on the losing end of both of those notions.

In March 2026, Destination had its first fully-staged production as an Equity Showcase in New York City, and was directed by JP’s Founding Artistic Director David R. Jarott.

Jarrott returns to the director’s chair for this Austin production, featuring a cast of some of Austin’s finest actors:
Bob Beare (The Shark is Broken) stars as Howard, and is joined by frequent JP actor and company member Janelle Buchanan (Significant Other, Lifespan of a Fact, Deathtrap, and others), Devon Ragsdale (Dial M For Murder), Karen Jambon (The Frog Prince and director of POTUS and For Peter Pan on her 70th Birthday), as well as JP newcomers Valencia Lee (Comedy of Errors and several other City Theatre productions, as well as regional credits in New York, New Jersey, and Illinois), and Joshua Nuñez (Glengarry Glen Ross and Picasso at the Lapin Agile, both with Trinity Street Players, as well as regional/international credits in San Antonio, North Dakota and Italy).

This project is supported in part by an Elevate Grant of Austin Arts Culture and Entertainment.
