Frida Kahlo vuelve a ocupar el centro del escenario global.

Sotheby’s Nueva York marcó un nuevo capítulo en la historia del arte: "El sueño (la cama)" se vendió por US$ 54.7 millones, coronándose como la obra más cara jamás lograda por una artista mujer.
Pintada en 1940, la pieza es un autorretrato donde la estética se vuelve confesión: una cama que flota, un esqueleto vigilante, dinamita suspendida sobre el deseo.
Es Frida en su versión más íntima: radical, valiente, inolvidable.
Hoy su legado asciende no solo en cifras, sino en significado.
Una vez más, ella redefine los límites.

At Sotheby’s New York, a new chapter in art history was written: "The Dream (the bed)" sold for US$ 54.7 million, becoming the most expensive work ever achieved by a female artist.
Painted in 1940, this self-portrait turns aesthetics into confession: a floating bed, a watching skeleton, dynamite suspended over desire.
It is Frida at her most intimate—radical, brave, unforgettable.
Today, her legacy rises not only in value, but in meaning.
Once again, she redraws the boundaries.

LEB Club de Arte tuvo el privilegio de asistir a la inauguración de la exposición de Ilan Dana en la Galería Torre del Reloj, en Parque Lincoln en Polanco, donde compartimos una velada íntima y enriquecedora, conversando con el artista sobre su obra, su proceso creativo y su visión sobre la identidad humana.

Ahora, parte de muestra continúa en exhibición en los jardines que rodean el Teatro Ángela Peralta, abierta al público hasta el 20 de junio, en la que pueden experimentar la realidad aumentada.
Una experiencia que invita a observar, reflexionar y conectar con el arte desde lo más profundo.

LEB Art Club had the privilege of attending the opening of Ilan Dana’s exhibition at the Galería Torre del Reloj in Polanco, where we shared an intimate and enriching evening in conversation with the artist—exploring his creative process and his reflections on identity and biology.

Now, his striking installation remains on view in the gardens surrounding the Teatro Ángela Peralta, open to the public until June 20.
