This jacket I randomly put together is one of my favorites. It’s simple, but has a little attitude mixed in with a white stitch that makes me think of Charlie Brown’s sweater from Peanuts. It brings me back to being a kid and realizing how far we’ve come from those Saturday mornings of cartoons and cereal, while my mom played Paula Abdul cleaning and singing around the house.

Kids jean jacket I made in LA that I never posted….

It all came together when I had one of my sewing machines with me in Cali and only a limited amount of materials to work with. I’m starting to understand my creative little mind a bit more and realizing that when I have fewer options, I actually become more creative instead of getting lost in unlimited possibilities.

That’s a new flow I want to explore more. Have less and see what I can create with less.

I had a couple patches, a marker, and a Sharpie. This is what I came up with for my boy son Apollo. Kid is super smart and I can’t wait to see what he becomes.

Before we go full summertime… bomber I never posted. Fully reversible.

This time we did the main patch on the orange side with hand painted writing throughout that side. The other side got a simpler look, so depending on how you feel, you got what you need with this bomber.

Only 4 were made and I kept the grey sample for myself. I’ll post the start to finish process on my story.
