We are so thrilled for CLDP alum, librettist Royce Vavrek () and his frequent collaborator, composer Missy Mazzoli ( ), as they prepare for the world premiere of LINCOLN IN THE BARDO at the Metropolitan Opera () !

This historic premiere marks not only the first world premiere at the Met by a woman composer, but also the first opera commissioned by the Met from an alum of ALT’s Composer Librettist Development Program.

We couldn’t be prouder to see Royce and Missy reach this extraordinary milestone—and we’ll be there to celebrate on opening night, October 19.
