For the last 50+ years INTAR Theatre has continued to challenge their artists and themselves to make sure that Latine theater makers secure their place in the US theater canon and beyond. Dynamic Programming like their MainStage, Unit 52, and The NewWorks Lab have proven invaluable resources to these artists giving them not only a place to be seen but a place to call home.

Our hearts are heavy with the loss of INTAR Theatre's longtime executive director John McCormack, who died from natural causes related to COVID-19.
"The loss of John McCormack is not just a loss for INTAR, but for the Off-Broadway theatre community as well," said Artistic Lou Moreno. "He was a living history of Off-Broadway. There was scarcely a name or a play he did not have intimate knowledge of and that perspective is what kept our offices full of chatter and laughter. INTAR lost the Executive Director with the longest term in our history. Our community lost a kind and generous soul. And Off-Broadway lost its biggest champion and fan."
Rehearsals are underway for TO THE BONE, our final mainstage of the season, co-produced with INTAR Theatre. Thank you to playwright Lisa Ramirez for visiting the rehearsal room and sharing your brilliance!
