Cortés’s work introduces a quiet yet charged interruption: two white chairs, bound back-to-back into a single sculptural body, adorned with textiles, beads, and cascading strands that evoke both intimacy and constraint. Suspended between furniture and figure, the piece reflects on attachment, memory, and co-dependence.

In contrast to the subway’s constant movement, The Couple holds a moment of stillness, an encounter that emerges and dissolves amid passing time.

WhiteBox Portable activates the large display windows and the interior exhibition space as a site where art and everyday life converge, bringing material transformation into direct dialogue with the city.

WhiteBox enters a new phase with its Portable series, bringing art into the subway as a public site of encounter and collective experience, where the passerby becomes an active participant.
