On Sesame Street, Maria taught us to be brave and bold and silly and smart and kind, and that’s because Sonia Manzano is all those things. To me and Graham, Sonia was a dear friend on the other side of the TV screen, conforting us, emboldening us, and making us laugh right along side Grover, Oscar and Big Bird. My son has grown up watching her, too, and learning with her new PBS show Alma’s Way 💖
The movie STREET SMART: Lessons from a TV Icon by Ernie Bustamante 🥥🌴 coversErnie Bustamante 🥥🌴dhood in the Bronx until now.
