Hi everyone! "The Hysterical History of the Trojan War" is going up tomorrow at 2:00 PM in the Actor's Temple Theater (399 West 47th Street). The kids have worked incredibly hard to make this show a reality, and this promotional video will hopefully help them garner the audience they deserve. The 4th year of Gotham Blackbox has officially begun! We are currently rehearsing "The Hysterical History of the Trojan War," our first musical. The show is scheduled to go up on July 4th, so stay tuned for further details!

Our tenth monologue of the series comes from Henrique, aged 11. After playing Officer Phillips in "The Great Bank Robbery Hostage Crisis" last summer, he did a great job delivering Duke Vincentio's monologue! Measure for Measure is known for its themes of justice, and Henrique was able to bring the Duke's values to life.

Kicking off another set of monologues is Lawrence, aged 10! Our ninth monologue of the series is from King Lear, and Lawrence did a wonderful job bringing out the inner turmoil Lear expresses in this scene. Lawrence played Hank in our performance of "The Great Bank Robbery Hostage Crisis" last summer, and we look forward to working with him again this summer!

Our next monologue is from Gotham Blackbox veteran Vivianna! Vivi has been with us for 3 years, ever since our first production of "The Spellbook in the Forbidden Room". She's definitely made tremendous improvements in her acting, and the foreboding tone of her voice in this monologue certainly shows her talent.
