It’s been too darn hot here in NYC… 🥵

So we’re cooling things off this morning with our Broadway’s Next Triple Threat finalists bringing Too Darn Hot to life, taught by none other than Warren Carlyle.

Broadway’s Samantha Pollino took center stage at the 2026 Chita Rivera Awards with a powerful performance of “Bye Bye Birdie,” honoring Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Ann-Margret.

The song, forever associated with Ann-Margret’s star-making performance, served as a fitting tribute to an artist whose influence has shaped generations of performers across film, television, music, and the stage.

Congratulations to Ann-Margret on this extraordinary honor, and bravo to Samantha for helping celebrate a true icon.

With Ann-Margret in the audience, Jessie Mueller brought warmth, grace, and timeless charm to “It Might As Well Be Spring” from State Fair.

The selection was especially meaningful, as State Fair marked the beginning of Ann-Margret’s remarkable career. More than six decades later, the song became a bridge between generations, honoring an artist whose impact on film, theater, music, and dance continues to be felt today.

Thank you, Jesse, for truly special tribute to a true original.

This year’s Chita Rivera Awards started with a tribute worthy of a legend.

Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Sammy Davis Jr.’s birth, Nicholas King and Tony D’Alelio brought “Birth of the Blues” to life on the Chita Rivera Awards stage, honoring one of the most versatile and groundbreaking performers in entertainment history.

Singer. Dancer. Actor. Trailblazer. There was only one Sammy.

For Isabelle McCalla, dance was the first love that opened the door to a life in theater.

As she accepted the Chita Rivera Award for Outstanding Dancer in a Broadway Show for Schmigadoon!, the moment felt especially meaningful, receiving the honor from last year’s Outstanding Dancer winners—a full-circle celebration of artists recognizing artists.

Isabelle shared that she wouldn’t be standing on that stage without a teacher who saw something in her and provided a full scholarship for dance training. It’s a powerful reminder that talent alone isn’t always enough and that opportunity matters too.

Congratulations, Isabelle, and thank you for reminding us why investing in young artists can change the course of a life. ❤️

Some artists entertain us.
Some artists inspire us.
A rare few change what’s possible.

This year, we celebrated one of those artists.
