Tricklock Company Although our own journey as a company ended last year, we want to share this post in recognition of all that Tricklock Company was to Buran Theatre. They fueled, fostered, and galvanized our work by always providing us a physical space to workshop, rehearse, and present in ABQ. Their company members became ours, and we cross-pollinated a conversation that was local, national, and international. Like an older sibling, we watched and learned from their hospitality & gratitude, as well as their challenges. As we expressed when we culminated our own journey as a company: family doesn't need a physical structure, these bonds don't need a project to collaborate on - the spirit with which we created will live on in the relationships forged and the reciprocity of care developed through the community. From all the former Buran Theatre company members, across the globe, we heartily toast Tricklock! We love you and are so grateful for the time we had in communion as companies.

AUDIENCE RESPONSE: Jeremy Pickard

"This show reminded me of the eras in theater history that were the greatest influences on my life as an independent artist. Since college my work has meandered away from these origins, so it was such a pleasant return to that radically different way of hearing and seeing a play that was so cataclysmic to me when i first started making theater. And at the same time the piece breaks away from those dusty old white men to reveal the discombobulation of feminine trauma. It feels like Absurdism through the lens of Feminism; Dada in the era of Me Too. It’s a weird world with a big heart."
