Featuring an ensemble of eight women and original music, this new, devised clown show will draw from historical as well as contemporary resources in devising a world where sad clowns explore deep longing, desire and loss. In looking closely at Brassaï's photographs from Le Monocle in Paris during the 1930s, this project will work to excavate q***r history and connect it with our own political moment.
