That would’ve ended the day quick! Thankfully I can catch more than just fish! I’ve gotten pretty good at catching lures flying at me after many novice years of not know when to set the hook. Looks like I still got it 😂 I caught this fish on favorite creek smallmouth setup. A small crawfish style bait from on a small 1/4 or 3/8 oz jighead tied to a 7ft medium fast action casting rod with 12lb line • • •

“Goodmorning you guys want some breakfast”

It was so curious! You can see it thinking and wondering what is going on. This was very cool to see this in person and to watch the expressions on its face as it tries to understand what it’s looking at! 🙉

You know I love big snapping turtles! Look at how good they are at hiding. This is also a great example of turtle markings you find in shallow clear water. They leave those distinct paths that show where they were, where they went and sometimes where they are! Watch your step if you’re walking in the swamp! 🐢👀🐢

I bet you a buck you didn’t know this! Dollar bills have long been used in our society but many still refer to it as a buck today. The main reason is because of early trades made between settlers who would trade a bucks skin/hide for a service, goods or tools. This became a form of currency until the US government adopted the US dollar in 1785 and solidified the currency in 1792 with the coinage act. Yet, to this day we still refer to it as a buck. Now you know 🦌💰 • • •

A CRAZY find today! I almost stepped on it while walking the bank. Definitely one of my crazier finds over the years but believe it or not this is not the biggest one I’ve ever found. I actually reeled up a big buck skull and antlers a few years ago while fishing in the middle of the lake! 😳🦌 This happens every year all over the country the toughest survive, that’s just nature, super cool to see. Go get out there you never know what you’ll find! • • •

One of the strangest double catches ever

Have you ever touched one? This is one of the coolest plants I’ve ever seen! The “shy plant” (Mimosa pudica), also known as the “sensitive plant” or “touch-me-not plant”, is a fascinating, interactive plant that folds its leaves inward when touched. It is also used in traditional medicine for treating ailments like insomnia and diarrhea, and some skin irritations. Historical records also show it was used for soil stabilization since it grows low to the ground. Be on the lookout for these on your next hike if you’re in the following areas. They are native to the tropical regions of Central and South America but can be found in the Southern U.S., Africa, Asia, and Australia 🌿🌎 • • •

It hurt at first but it was all worth it I was fishing in my kayak with my motor around the rocks with shrimp on my spin fishing setup. It was a great day in the sun but stayed cool because of my sun shirt. Fishing down here is amazing! 🐟☀️ • • •
