The first drawing Cecilia asked me to do was her as Lady Godiva.  So for Peter's birthday yesterday I finally did it. I threw in some easter eggs for him... she's in the APICHA alley where he'd pick her up from work, the rabbits are for rabbit house upstate and the blue jays are the birds that are always outside of her house.   Happy Birthday, Peter!

I love drawing people I love. And this one was particularly special to me. Cecilia was the first person I met that made me proud to be trans. Her confidence lit up the room and I saw what it looks like to love instead of hate this aspect of myself. She changed my whole perspective. To draw her as a little girl meant the world to me.
