Five people in the room. Small and specific !

Sound moved first. People responded through texture, gesture, stillness, fragments of words. The room composed something that couldn’t have arrived pre-formed...

Somebody typed “disconnected from mind, connected to internal vibration.” That’s the whole argument for why this exists

The hum that comes back wrong is where the composition starts.

On the mistranslation as intelligence, on what zajal and the cypher always knew about how collective thinking actually moves, on why sound is where the metabolic imagination has been quietly surviving while everything else got managed and flattened.

Nothing about what’s happening in this “war” is abstract. It’s devastating and ongoing.

This isn’t about that. It’s about how we receive, mishear, and respond... and how something else can emerge through that interference.

Someone resurfaced this video captioned “this is what it feels like working with Claude” 😂

Accurate. Also: this is what it feels like to Quantum Craft.

Stromae trying to transmit something precise. Jamel receiving it, humming it back slightly wrong, the whole thing dissolving into beautiful productive chaos before something truer than the original intention emerges through the interference. The mistranslation IS the intelligence. The hum that comes back wrong is where the composition actually starts.

That’s the zajal. That’s the cypher.
That’s what’s happening Sunday.

April 19, Future Ancestors Radio: Resonance 001 is a live participatory art experience and fundraiser holding Brooklyn and Beirut in one sonic field. A digital zajal where people hum what they hear, send a zarghouta if it’s in them, shift their background to whatever texture the sound became in their body, put one word in the chat, or just stay still inside it. No performance. No correct answer. The room metabolizes together and what emerges enters the Future Ancestors archive as a collectively produced living artifact.

Two ways to be a co-composer:
Inside the room Sunday, 11am New York / 6pm Beirut.
Or through the lifeline that makes the room possible.
Those who donate but can’t attend receive the full advance kit: the curated Brooklyn-Beirut playlist and the session texture library, a standalone sonic archaeology artifact to move through in your own time and timezone. Both enter the archive. Both matter.

*Egna Legna is a migrant-led nonprofit run by and for domestic workers in Lebanon. Women whose kafala-bound contracts collapsed with the economy, abandoned by employers, excluded from relief systems, and left exposed as bombardments escalated. kicking off the relaunch of the Quantum Craft Calendar

A participatory experience where sound is not the content but the threshold into something larger. A playful way of thinking with and through frequency, where sound touches memory, texture, emotion, and the body’s accumulated knowing. Craft cognition and feminist cognition at center. Leading with the embodied.

The gathering is the artwork. An insurgent protocol. An anti-domestication posture. A living Future Ancestors artifact shaped collectively and entering an evolving archive that carries what each body brought into the room.

April is named Arab American Heritage Month. I’m not interested in performing heritage while Beirut, and the region that shaped so much of the world’s cultural and intellectual infrastructure, is being reduced to rubble. What I can offer instead is a living practice as future literacy.

This first gathering is also a fundraiser. All proceeds, minus platform fees, go directly to organizations supporting displaced Lebanese families and migrant domestic workers. Every ticket is both composition and lifeline.

It’s been quite a difficult month for a women who calls Lebanon her ancestral home while navigating life from Brooklyn

How does one refuse compartmentalization and carrying in a violent system insisting on making you a slave to a hyper capitalistic machine ?

How do you deal with the hypocrisy of morality when it’s blatant cruelty and patriarchal dominance?

I’m not resolving it…I’m moving through it

Last fall invited me to guest-write her Tomorrow column for , Japan’s leading fashion publication

I brought together four voices reading culture through different sensing technologies:
on computational poetry as pattern detection, on Black cultural production as technological innovation composting haute cuisine into food as civilizational architecture

And my own reading of how ancestral intelligence and computational systems are colliding into forms our disciplines don’t know how to name yet
