During the 100th year celebration of Black History Month, we're paying tribute to the groundbreaking Black artists who have defined the Hudson Theatre's legacy. This stage has witnessed the strength, creativity, and immense talent that characterizes the Black experience in the arts.

- The legendary Louis Armstrong and the cast of Hot Chocolates, who introduced jazz to this venue almost a century ago.
- Trailblazers like Adrienne Warren, Krystal Joy Brown, and Taylor Iman Jones, whose powerful voices have resonated through these walls.
-Wendell Pierce and Sharon D Clarke headlined the historic 2022 revival of Death of a Salesman, marking the first time the Loman family was portrayed by a Black cast on Broadway.
- Eric Williams, the talented young actor who shone as “A Boy” in Waiting for Godot.
- The innovative Cody Renard Richard, a respected stage manager and leader behind the scenes.
- And to the many other remarkable Black artists who have performed on our stage

We honor the artists who continue to make the Hudson a hub for excellence.

Plot twist: The ushers are now the stars of the show! 🎭✨

From handing out Playbills at The Hudson Theatre to casting real spells in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, belting it out in A Wonderful World, and dancing like a queen in Mamma Mia! — , , , and are proving that backstage dreams really do take center stage. 💃🪄🎤

We always knew you were destined for the spotlight — now the rest of Broadway knows it too. Break legs (and maybe a wand or two)! 😉

🌸 This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating the unforgettable mothers who’ve graced the stage at the Hudson Theatre! From Nora Helmer’s heart-wrenching journey in A Doll’s House, to Linda Loman’s unwavering devotion in Death of a Salesman, Queen Gynecia’s regal wisdom in Head Over Heels, and Beth’s quiet strength in Merrily We Roll Along — Let’s not forget Norma Hubley in Plaza Suite, the no-nonsense mom who’ll stop at nothing to keep her daughter’s wedding on track. And of course, Queen Aggravain’s hilariously overbearing love in Once Upon a Mattress. 👑✨
These characters remind us that motherhood comes in many forms: fierce, nurturing, hilarious, and everything in between. 💖
Here’s to the drama, the sacrifice, the strength, and the endless love. Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at the Hudson Theatre! 🌷🎭❤️
