Multigenerational NYC theater company, telling unforgettable stories with young and emerging artists.

Firebird Youth Theater is an NYC-based award-winning theater company that is entirely teen-run and teen-directed. We provide opportunities for young performers to participate in original professional-grade theater Off- and Off-Off Broadway. FYT is a branch of the Firebird Project, a teen-run initiative that provides creative leadership opportunities to young artists. We offer art and writing classes, conduct creative workshops, and organize youth community events.

Firebird’s Youth division kicked off a new Fall devising workshop this week - these teens are reading historical Robin Hood narratives as well as modern sources about economic injustice and mutual aid, in order to fuel a devising process for Firebird’s Spring Youth Production, ROBIN HOOD. 🎯
