Jeannot R. Barr, Drawings & Prints ( and now photographs 🤔?) are now the representative for her work. It has been a great project -challenging to order her photographs and organize their information as well as the supporting material. Sehwheat Manna is the project manager who has taken on the bulk of this important work.
Sophie Rivera was a New York-born photographer with Puerto Rican roots. She was a pioneering artist in both technique and imagery all the while for being a vocal advocate for her heritage and for neighborhood, The Bronx.
She promoted her contemporary Latino/ Latina photographers -she was a founding member of En Foco, the important organization that continues to promote Latino/Latina photographers.
Her work is in the collections of The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Hammer Museum (UCLA), El Barrio Museum and others.
Founding firm of The New York Fine Print Fair. Original prints and drawings 1550 - today. 140 museums have been clients. Valuations and appraisal services, collection, conservation management and other consulting services are part of the firms operations.
