George Floyd was murdered two years ago today, and in the wake of that crime, the world began to shift. We remember his life and legacy today and everyday in the fight to end systemic racism and injustice in our country. At a time when devastation heaps upon devastation, from Buffalo to Laguna Woods to Uvalde, we hold hope for change in our hearts.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and look forward to seeing you at the theatre at a different time.
Ticket holders for canceled previews (May 26 - 28) will be contacted by email and phone. To exchange or discuss the other options, please contact the Vineyard Theatre box office at 212.353.0303 or [email protected] for further assistance.
Thank you to all the guests and artists who joined us last Monday in making our 2022 Gala such a wonderful night of celebration of a return to live theatre! #VTGala2022 🎭✨

Up next: LESSONS IN SURVIVAL: 1971
In 1971, 28-year-old poet Nikki Giovanni interviewed renowned novelist James Baldwin, 47, on America’s first “Black Tonight Show,” SOUL!
Fifty years later, LESSONS IN SURVIVAL: 1971, created with The Commissary, reintroduces their candid, provocative dialogue on race and liberation in America to our present moment. Building on the digital exploration of LESSONS IN SURVIVAL, which was recognized by The New York Times as "Best in Theater 2020," this revelatory live staging explores the layers of intimacy and ideas between two Black revolutionary artists of different generations, with astonishing resonance for today.
Vineyard Theatre members can book their tickets now!
Presale tickets are available exclusively to Audience Rewards® members from April 18-25, 2022.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on April 25.

"We have admired Eisa Davis as an artist and person for years. In her plays, she illuminates the complexities of her characters' inner lives with passion, humor, intelligence, and honesty. Her voice is an original and necessary one in the theatre, and we are thrilled by the prospect of more stories that only she can tell."
The Obie winner's previous works include Paper Armor, Six Minutes, and The History of Light.

We are so saddened by the loss of Ned Eisenberg, a much beloved actor and playwright. We had the honor of producing a developmental production of Ned's play SOULFUL SCREAM OF A CHOSEN SON and he co-starred, brilliantly, in two Vineyard productions, MOVING TARGETS and ANTIGONE IN NEW YORK. A great artist who will be missed.
