We are heartbroken to hear the news of Linda Lavin's passing. We were blessed to work with Linda on two plays by Nicky Silver -- THE LYONS (for which she received a Tony nomination) and TOO MUCH SUN -- and she remained a cherished friend to us through the years. Linda was an incredible creative spirit -- kind, gifted, compassionate, wise, funny, and a truly brilliant actress. She brought such light to the world.

Our sincere condolences to Steve, her beloved husband, and all of her family and friends. We will miss her deeply.

On December 9, the Vineyard community gathered to present our annual Paula Vogel Playwriting Award to Jake Brasch and Colman Domingo Award to Kameron Neal. These awards, along with our biennial Susan Stroman Directing Award, recognize early-career artists of exceptional promise and provide them with time, space, and resources to create new work and strike new collaborations.

Thank you to all of the artists, friends, and supporters who joined us in celebrating the Vineyard’s ongoing commitment to artistic development.

We truly can't wait to honor Joe at our Gala with a very fun, one-of-a-kind celebration!"

Nikki Giovanni, trailblazing poet and activist, passed away on Monday at the age of 81. The Vineyard had the gift of developing and premiering The Commissary's LESSONS IN SURVIVAL: 1971, based on her candid, provocative conversation with James Baldwin on SOUL! She leaves an enormous cultural legacy that will continue to inspire a shared future of collective liberation.

We are excited to announce that we have added Sam Kissajukian's 300 PAINTINGS to our 2024-2025 season. Fresh from an acclaimed run at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe, the Sydney comedian and artist examines 300 paintings he created during a five-month manic bipolar episode, exploring the ties between art, mental health, and creativity. It’s captivating, thought-provoking, hilarious, and not to be missed!
