If you are in Southern California this weekend, you MUST come see Tony Award-Winner Lillias White on Mother's Day at 3:00 p.m. here at Rubicon in Ventura. She just finished her run in Hadestown on Broadway and has been in 16 Broadway shows, from Once on This Island to Fela! to The Life. She was in The Best is Yet to Come: The Music of Cy Coleman which we were privileged to premiere at Rubicon and take Off-Broadway (Drama Desk Award). She is one of those performers whose voice will give you chills. Hey Lonesome Traveler Friends: This show has three performers from the Off-Broadway run of LT - Sylvie Davidson, Trevor Wheetman and Jennifer Leigh Warren. Hope you can join us - it's at Rubicon Theatre in Ventura playing through April 16 and is beautiful. The score is a mix of bluegrass, folk, rock and pop.

Playwright Stephen Belber leads us to ask is he doing the right thing for the wrong reasons, or the wrong thing for the right reasons? Does it ultimately matter?

The cast features by Rubicon Associate Artistic Director Chris Butler ("Gem of the Ocean", "One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest" at Rubicon), Eric Stoltz (“Madam Secretary,” “Pulp Fiction”) and Lauren Tom (“The Joy Luck Club”). It is directed by Rubicon’s Artistic Associate Jenny Sullivan.

Hey Traveler Friends: Two of our cast members from the recent tour with Peter Yarrow (Charlotte Morris and Beau Moore) are onstage this week in the encore run of I DIG ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC, inspired by the song by Paul Stookey, James Mason and Dave Dixon. Both Charlotte and Beau have contributed original songs to this theatrical concert, which includes songs made famous by Peter, Paul and Mary, Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, The Byrds, The Eagles and more. Hi Friends: Several of the Lonesome Travelers (Sylvie Davidson, Brendan Willing James and Trevor Wheetman) are in rehearsal for a new show at Rubicon Theatre in Ventura, California entitled "I Dig Rock and Roll Music." It opens August 29 and runs through September 16. LT Director James O'Neil is directing. The show features a new song called "Standing on the Shoulders" by Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul and Mary.
