Hosted by actress Rachel Griffiths, this four-part series from Blackfella Films asks the question – What is the idea of Australia and how might it evolve to become richer and more robust in the 21st century? At a time of geopolitical uncertainty, the need to celebrate and rebuild an informed truly independent civic national identity is greater than ever.

Australia's population has grown dramatically over the past two decades, profoundly changing the nation and making it more important to share the national backstory and find ways to incorporate new stories and understanding in the land of the world's oldest storytellers.

An 88-year-old woman who refuses to reveal her identity has devoted her life to planting one million trees in a vast jungle in Nicaragua, listening to the voices of trees. An artist, she now moves within the slow rhythm of the forest.

The director of The Song of Trees, Jay Jaeun Chin, wanted to move beyond explanatory storytelling, to allow the audience to encounter nature through duration, sound, and presence. The film was developed through an extended production process, emphasizing minimal intervention and a contemplative visual language and evolved into a cinematic exploration of time, silence, and sensory experience. The Song of Trees aimed to offer its audience a different way of engaging with the environment, inviting reflection, immersion, and rethinking of human-centered perception.

Everyone remembers where they were when they first heard the news. It was the morning of Sunday, August 31st 1997, when the tragic announcement of Diana's death sent the nation and the world into a state of disbelief and collective mourning. In the hours that followed, decisions had to be made at speed, from royal protocol and government response to media coverage and public messaging. The country was grieving, confused, and watching closely.

The Day Diana Died is a 90-minute documentary charting the extraordinary 24 hours following the death of Diana, Princess of Wales and exploring the dramatic reaction of the British Establishment. It was a single day that marked the end of one era and the beginning of another. Deep in the vaults of the National Archives of the United Kingdom are top-secret documents relating to Singapore’s independence: confidential correspondence between political leaders and top diplomats. CNA producers sifted through hundreds of the letters, trawled through material from oral archives and various memoirs, and spoke to some descendants of the key figures involved. Piecing everything together, they were able to paint a more personal and emotional picture of that momentous fracture that created the nation of Singapore.

What really happened in the pivotal 100 days surrounding 9th August 1965? Who knew what and when?

The Eurovision Song Contest 2025, hosted in Basel, Switzerland, reimagined the contest format with 57 live performances, each realized as a unique artistic universe. Each performance was not simply a song, but a distinct world where choreography, costumes, and visual storytelling combined to deliver immersive, emotive, and unforgettable moments. The flexible stage environment was transformed for every act with spectacular set pieces, artificial mountains, a transparent vertical LED wall and extensive augmented reality. This innovative approach pushed the boundaries of what is possible in live television and performing arts.

The primary audience for Eurovision 2025 was broad and global: 170 million television and online viewers from across Europe, Australia, and far beyond; a live audience of half a million who experienced the event in Basel; and hundreds of thousands more who engaged on-site through city-wide events and celebrations for people of all ages and backgrounds. The event was crafted as a fully inclusive and accessible spectacle, ensuring everyone – whether lifelong Eurovision fans, first-time viewers, young creatives, or marginalized groups – could find connection, inspiration, and joy.

Formed to promote justice through the arts and public engagement, JusticeAid has partnered with New York Festivals to create an exclusive award. The JusticeAid Award is awarded to the highest scoring submission across all Social Justice categories in the NYF TV & Film and Radio competitions.

My Father's Hair took home the 2026 JusticeAid Award. This documentary from Keyi Productions airing on ARTE, was an intimate portrait of a young woman reclaiming her voice, and of the fragile but determined forms of resistance led by women in a society where tradition, caste, and violence continue to shape the lives of millions.

Three years ago, Kinjal, who belongs to the Dalit community - formerly known as the "Untouchables" at the bottom of India's caste hierarchy - was r***d by the son of an upper-caste landowner. She is now 17. Her father took the case to court and as a symbol of his fight, he vowed not to cut his hair until his daughter received justice. Over six months, the filmmakers followed Kinjal, her family, and those standing by her side.
