Hundertdreizehn (One Hundred and Thirteen) is a six-part series inspired by a study from the German Federal Ministry of Transport stating that an average of 113 people are directly affected when one person dies in a traffic accident. These include family members, first responders, witnesses and investigators. Their lives are altered and connected by a single event.

Produced by Windlight Pictures and Satel Film in coproduction with WDR, ORF and ARD Degeto Film, Hundertdreizehn became one of the most successful ARD series of 2025.

Anchored by a catastrophic bus accident on an inner-city elevated highway, the series examines the circumstances leading up to the accident and the consequences that unfold afterward: how individual decisions, emotional states and coincidences interact, and how a single moment can affect many lives in different ways.
