ミッドタウンを走る異様な観光バス。舟の形をした車体にタイヤがついていて、ほかのダブルデッカー観光バスとは一線を画す醜さ（?!）。実はこれ、バス兼ボートなのだ。陸ではバスとして走り、そのままハドソン川にドボンと飛び込むとボートになるというシロモノ。名づけて「ＮＹＣランド＆ウィーター・ダックツアー」。もともとボストンで始まった陸海観光ツアーで、ニューヨークにお目見えしたのはここ3年ほど。ツアー発着地点はブロードウエーの48丁目と49丁目の間。この日は、観光客と一緒にニューヨーク市のメディアが招待されての特別ツアー。参加したメディアの面々、「まさか自分がコレに乗る羽目になるとは…」という表情を隠せ ...
