In just over two weeks I’ll be packing up the car with props and kids and heading to Atlanta for a month! And thanks to many of YOU, our Verity High: Canceled! fundraiser was a massive success — we raised over $8000 in just two weeks! 🎉

Putting on a musical takes more than just great actors. I'm experiencing that right now as we move into opening night for WIZARD OF OZ 🥴 It takes a team of amazing people!!

VERITY HIGH: CANCELED! wouldn't be happening (at least not without a backstage meltdown and lots of therapy later) without our incredible behind-the-scenes team.

First up: our fabulous COSTUME DESIGNER & WARDROBE ASSISTANT, Jill L.A. Forrest!

Jill is a creative powerhouse with a love for drawing, textiles, color theory, sewing, and an unshakable passion for fashion. Basically, she's the reason our cast will look like theatrical icons instead of chaos goblins in high school gym clothes.

We’re so lucky to have her eye, her talent, and her sense of theater style on this wild ride to the Atlanta Fringe Festival.

🎭 Cast Announcement: COACH

Please welcome Matt Horgan to the cast of Verity High: Canceled! where he’ll be bringing his comedic brilliance to the role of Coach—our enthusiastic cheerleader to his genderfluid child and all the students at Verity High!

Matt has been a fixture on Atlanta stages since 1997, most notably through his longtime artistic home, Dad’s Garage Theatre. His Agatha Christie-inspired whodunnit, Murder, She Improvised!, has been running annually since 2001 and now performs internationally—in Canada, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, India, and other parts gloriously unknown.

Since 2001, Matt has also made regular pilgrimages north to Alberta, Canada to perform at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival and Rapid Fire Theatre’s Improvaganza.

And yet, despite all this globetrotting glory, Verity High: Canceled! will be Matt’s very first performance at the Atlanta Fringe Festival! We’re thrilled—and he’s “pleased as punch”—to have him creating alongside this incredible group of artists.

🎭 CAST ANNOUNCEMENT! 🎭

We are so excited to announce that the incredibly talented Anthony Zuniga will be playing HARLAN in Verity High: Canceled! this summer at the Atlanta Fringe Festival!

Anthony is a powerhouse—actor, musician, and filmmaker—whose credits span stage, screen, and musical performance. You may have seen him as Frank Abagnale Jr. in Catch Me If You Can, Gomez in The Addams Family, or tearing it up in original works like The Last Bridger and Tracks.

As Harlan, Anthony brings depth, heart, and vulnerability to a role that’s all about finding your voice, defying expectations, and standing up for your dreams—even when it means going against the people who love you most.

Whether he’s walking on stilts, singing tenor, or making hearts soar onstage, Anthony brings it all, and we cannot wait for audiences to see his performance.

Get ready to feel all the feelings. And maybe cry. (But like, the good kind.)

Taylor is a powerhouse performer with a résumé that spans everything from MTV/Logo’s Rick & Steve to dramatic leads and outrageous comedy roles at Dad's Garage Theatre Company. She’s tackled everything from one-woman shows to Frosty the Snowman—and now, she’s taking on Verna, our cynical queen with a heart buried somewhere under all those scratch-offs and salty one-liners.
