Utrzymywał kontakty z Karolem Lipińskim i Karolem Kurpińskim.

Komponował muzykę religijną według wzorców klasycystycznych, pozostawił po sobie 17 mszy i liczne części proprium missae, 2 Requiem, 8 nieszporów, 5 Te Deum, hymny, antyfony, litanie. Skomponował ponadto m.in. koncert klarnetowy i liczne marsze wojskowe. "

Born in 1801 in Żagań, Friedrich Wilhelm Constantin was the last prince of Hohenzollern-Hechingen family line. In 1826, he married the eighteen-year-old Princess Eugenia von Leuchtenberg (1808–1847). The couple was renowned for their active patronage of the arts. The court at Hechingen, which they presided over, became an important center of musical and intellectual life. Konstantin and Eugenia supported musicians, initiated artistic events, and provided patronage to young creators. Their cultural engagement stood out among the smaller German principalities, which during the 19th century played a significant role as local centers of culture. He died in 1869 in Nietków.

The prince himself composed songs and piano dance miniatures such as waltzes and galops.
The Badische Landesbibliothek preserves a collection of manuscripts that includes three songs as well as piano pieces consisting of nine waltzes and nine galops. One of the song is in German language - Siehst du am Abend die Wolken.
