READ BEFORE CONTACTING. Rules for getting on a MS bill/not getting banned from the Belfry:
1. I'm open to most bands that ask to be on a bill, assuming I don't have all the bands I need by the time I'm contacted and if I have samples of their work. That being said I reserve the right to not book you, and do not guarantee explanation.
2. All payment comes from donations and is equally split among bands. If you want more money, draw people who will donate. (Payment is NOT equally split in the cases of bands who do not promote or otherwise interfere with the working order of the show.)
3. Four bands a bill, unless circumstances call for more. No, you cannot hop onto a bill last minute. No, you especially cannot hop onto a bill with more than four bands.
4. Respect my venue, respect me, respect the sound guy, respect the artists and bands, and respect peoples' equipment. A big part of this means don't take half an hour to set up, show up late ESPECIALLY if you're backlining, be rude to bands, touch equipment that isn't yours without explicit permission, interfere in issues that don't concern your band, etc. We do not allow alcohol, drug use, or skateboards. Visibly intoxicated visitors will be asked to leave.
5. Promote yer dang shows. Bands that fail to promote their dang shows will be paid less or kicked off the bill entirely.
6. Don't v**e at the Belfry. If you absolutely must, do it outside.
7. "No available slots" means NO available slots. Asking me every fifteen minutes will not increase the availability of slots and will only hurt your chances of being contacted when a show does open up. Violators will be thrown in the afterburner. 1. Send a link, including the name of the artist and album (or song if that's the case).
2. Include your preferred genre. If you sound like Anthrax, I'm not writing 'melodic neothrashcore' unless requested.
