It's Musical Monday!

Today we take a look at Funny Girl, the story of real-life comedian F***y Brice, her rise to stardom, and her romance with gambler Nicky Arnstein.

Fun fact about Funny Girl - it has a direct link to the NBC series Smash. The 1980 novel Smash by Garson Kanin was loosely based on his experience directing Funny Girl. The novel served, in part, as the basis for the TV show.

Can you name other unexpected links between Broadway shows and TV shows?

Experience Makers Lab is where the people behind live experiences come together to collaborate, connect, and solve what’s next.

This event brings experienced designers, production leaders, creative decision-makers, and technology partners into one room for candid conversations without the chaos of a traditional trade show.

You may even see a few familiar faces.

Twenty-five years ago, the unthinkable happened. In the morning hours, our home was attacked. We lost so much that day. But out of the worst tragedy rose the best of humanity.

People jumped in to help in any way they could. Some went down into the rubble to rescue and recover, at great personal risk. But helping also meant everything from cheering on rescue workers to giving blood. People opened their doors, gathered supplies, and volunteered.

Here is one such example of people pulling resources together and jumping into the fray, from the boss: https://stagecraft.theprices.net/gallery/wtc/wtc-story.shtml

Pictured: Chelsea Piers, the support, the rescue workers, doctors, EMTs, volunteers, and the makeshift hospital on a sound stage.

“The best way to honor those we lost on 9/11 is to be the people we were on 9/12.”

Never Forget.
