🎉🎹 We know who will play in the final round of the 19th Chopin Competition!
The results of the third stage auditions are in. The jury, chaired by Garrick Ohlsson, selected 11 pianists from among the 20 participants in the third stage to perform in the final round of the 19th Chopin Competition:

📅 The final auditions will take place in the Concert Hall of the Warsaw Philharmonic on 18-20 October. Each day, the concerts will begin at 6 p.m. CEST.
✨ The finalists will begin with a performance of Polonaise-Fantasy, Op. 61. They will then play a selected piano concerto by Fryderyk Chopin, either in E minor, Op. 11 or in F minor, Op. 21, accompanied by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Andrzej Boreyko.
🕯️🎹 17 October is a day off from auditions – at 8:30 p.m. CEST, we invite you to the Basilica of the Holy Cross for the Requiem on the 176th anniversary of Fryderyk Chopin’s death. We will listen to Mozart’s masterpiece (in Süssmayr’s version) in a transcription for solo piano by Karl Klingworth, a well-known 19th-century German virtuoso, conductor, and composer, pupil and later friend of Franz Liszt. The outstanding Ukrainian pianist Vadym Kholodenko will play on a piano from Chopin’s time.
🏛️ We also invite you to visit the museums: The Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw (Muzeum Fryderyka Chopina), where the exhibition ‘Romantic Life. Chopin, Scheffer, Delacroix, Sand, ’ is displayed until the end of October. In the Birthplace of Fryderyk Chopin and Park in Żelazowa Wola (Dom Urodzenia Fryderyka Chopina i Park w Żelazowej Woli), in addition to the permanent exhibition and the autumn park, you can visit the magical exhibition ‘A Theatre Well Buttoned Up. Stage Puppets from Nohant’.

🔹 ORLEN 'Strefa Melomana' Zones: at Plac Centralny in Warsaw (in front of the Palace of Culture and Science), as well as in Białystok, Gdańsk, Lublin, Płock, Szczecin and Wrocław.
Each zone will offer visitors numerous attractions, such as concert broadcasts, artist recitals, meetings with authors, film screenings, and creative workshops for children 👦. The zones will be open during the final round auditions of the Competition – from 18 to 20 October, and in Warsaw additionally on 21 October, when the award gala and the first prize-winners’ concert will take place.

🔹 KAWA Z CHOPINEM W PKO ROTUNDZIE (PKO Rotunda) (open from 4 p.m. on the weekend of 18 and 19 October) – in addition to the broadcast, you will be able to listen to piano recitals by two participants of the Chopin Competition: Zuzanna Sejbuk and Andrzej Wierciński. Coffee and sweets will be served by DESEO.
🔹 Birthplace of Fryderyk Chopin and Park in Żelazowa Wola (Dom Urodzenia Fryderyka Chopina i Park w Żelazowej Woli)– where it all began. You can watch the live stream of the final round in the cinema room on the museum grounds. Admission: PLN 5 per person.
🔹 ‘Koszyki grają Chopina | Przestrzeń Kibica | ETAP 2 i 3, FINAŁY’– Hala Koszyki, Koszykowa 63, Warsaw – in the Chopin Competition Fan Zone, you can watch all the final auditions (from 6 p.m.), the announcement of the results, and the first prize-winners’ concert– 21 October from 7 p.m. Until 22 October, you can also view an exhibition of photographs by Wojciech Grzędziński from previous editions of the Competition.
🔹 ‘Chopin LIVE! | Transmisje z przesłuchań uczestników XIX Konkursu Chopinowskiego’ in the Museum of King John III’s Palace at Wilanów, Potockiego 10/16, Warsaw, from 18 October, 5-9 p.m. (admission until 8.30 p.m.) as part of the ticket to the Royal Garden of Light.
