When asked what attracted you to this work, said:
“Being black and q***r. If I hadn’t turned to the theater to help me make sense of my complicated feelings about the world, I am pretty sure I would never have interrogated my feelings at all. And while that may be cool for some, I have too curious a nature not to be a navel-gazer. Also, I think making theatre is fun, no matter how awful it feels sometimes.”
