I know it haven't been easy all this while, but it's just de mercy of God that has just kept us till now! So cheer up! There're better days ahead!!!!

May every broken pieces of your live receive the healing touch of the Lord. May you receive beauty for ashes. May testimonies fill your days.

The Angels of the Lord will surround you to keep you from falling. They will carry you through the month and your days will be filled with joy.

THOUGHTS ON JOHN'S GOSPEL!

We have already seen that the Lord mentions two kinds of glory in His prayer. In the fifth verse of the chapter He speaks of His official glory as the Son of God; in the 22nd verse it is a question of the glory that He had as a Man here below. Today's verse brings the former glory before us again. His wish is that His own should actually see it. They should rejoice to behold their Lord, who suffered all kinds of derision in His humiliation here below, crowned with His glory as the father's eternal Son. And He wants to have them there with Him where He is.
This is the first time that we hear Him say, "I will." That shows His wonderful love for His own. He does not rest until He has brought them to the place where they can contemplate His divine glory and share His glory as Son of Man with Him. Then they will see that the Father loves the Son, indeed that He has loved Him since before the foundation of the world, although He made Him go that pathway of suffering and shame.
When we read the words of this prayer of the Lord's we must take care not to pass superficially over sublime matters that He made known for our sakes. It is both useful for ourselves and well-pleasing to Him if we stand in awe at these requests that He made and try to imagine the desires of His heart for His own.

When Simon, Peter saw it (i.e. the great catch of fish), he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. Luke 5:8.
In Luke 5, we have a report of Simon Peter's personal encounter with Jesus Christ. Peter had put his fishing boat at the Lord's disposal, so that the latter could speak to the multitudes on the shore. No-one else could have been so close to hear the Lord's words. But then the great thing happened: at the Lord's command Peter had a huge catch in broad daylight. His own judgment told him that it was against normal fishing practice: "Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing." But he added, "Nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net" (v.5). The miracle astonished all in the ship, but Peter fell at Jesus' feet, saying, "Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord"
Why did Peter say that? The Lord had not reproached him with any sins: He had simply performed a miracle that could only call forth rejoicing. But Peter realized that he was in the presence of the Son of God and had experienced something of His divine greatness and glory.
Being conscious of 's greatness and holiness must lead to our recognizing our own insignificance, indeed our sinfulness. As we are lost because of our sinful state, none of us has any standing before . But it was such that the came to seek and save. So Peter received the assurance of salvation: "Fear not" From then on he was happy to be able to follow his Lord.

The Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary defines bottom line as: " the most important thing that you have to consider or accept; the essential point in the discussion".
In the world today, many notable people, (dead and alive), have made statements that have become timeless and without borders. Such statements are on various topics, and many people have come to take them as their guiding principle in life. Some of these notable figures said things that are accepted by the majority, others said things that are controversial.
Whether those famous men and women said what the majority accepted or what brought about controversy, they were only expressing their opinions. No matter how sophisticated the individual may have been or may still be, no matter the oratory prowess, no matter the educational advantage, all amounts to nothing because the Word of the Lord is the bottom line on any issue or any human endeavour, now or in eternity.
Many have identified with some places of worship of God and yet with divers opinions as per how to worship Him. Some opinions say that God is so kind that He cannot afford to cast His own creatures into a lake that burns wit fore and brimstone. Some are of the opinion that once born again, always born again no matter how they live their lives. Others are of the opinion that religion is in the heart, so what they wear is of no importance to God or how they carry themselves. Some other people are of the opinion that God is not interested on what they eat or drink, and so on.
You may have one or more of these opinions; that is why you have stopped attending church. It is because of these opinions that you expose your nakedness in the name of fashion and yet you belong to a place of worship. Due to your pastor's opinion, he has not told you that you are on your way to eternal doom!!!
Your opinion has made you say that it doesn't matter to put on the dresses of the opposite s*x. Is it not because of your opinion that you still keep that girl friend or boy friend and yet you are in the church? It is due to your opinion that makes it impossible to distinguish you from the world while professing Christianity.Your opinion has bound you to chains of smoking and taking of alcoholic drinks. It is due to your opinion that there is a place called purgatory where you could go after death to be purged and made fit for heaven that you live this careless life and are satisfied with your rag-like moral life. It is due to your opinion about the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ that you live as though this world is your final abode, as if no record is kept, as if Jesus has gone to heaven never to return again.
God's opinion says that there is a way that seems right to a man but the end of it is death (Prov. 14:12). His opinion is that the wages of sin is death (Rom. 6:23). His opinion is that the wicked and all the nations that forget God shall be thrown into hell (Psm. 9:17). His opinion is that you should not love this world or the things that are in the world (1 Jn. 2:15-17). God's opinion says that the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God... (1 Thess.4:16).
Friend, let there be twelve thousand opinions, the only opinion that counts is the opinion of God; because His word is the ! Notwithstanding, what anybody might have taught you. Permit me a friendly plainess with you: I am concerned about yours soul or nothing else. Don't forget that the wound of a friend is better than the flattery of the harlot! It would be terrible to find out that your opinion was baseless when you are already in the hell you played down on its existence. Friend, come away from your opinion and follow the opinion of God no matter how old-fashioned you think it is; it is simply the ! This is because you have a soul that cannot die; you shall surely live forever in hell or heaven. Is your opinion different? If I cannot get your consent to come away from your opinion, then I shall leave you miserable but I weep for you. Please Read (Rev. 20:10-15) and run now before you opinions run you over! Don't wait until you are turned away from the !! when you shall cry; alas! I had a wrong opinion about God, though it was the popular opinion, but now I have found out it was not my opinion that mattered or that of my mentor. Alas! I am lost and lost forever!!! Then into hell fire you are thrown...
Your opinion must align with the word of God because it is the !!
To operate in the opinion of God, you must be born again, and to be born again, you must accept that you are a sinner and sincerely confess those sins to God, such as fornication, adultery, homos*xuality, lesbianism, lying, covetousness, hypocrisy, eye service, cultism, hatred, fighting, quarreling, disobedient and all the deed that offend God. Then accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Believe that His blood has washed you clean forsake all the sins and then tell everybody that Jesus has set you free!!!!

While in school, Lawrence In search for power, peace and happiness got initiated into a cult. XMENN was an influential cult group then in school, and every young man's aspiration was to belong there. The group promised a lot of things to its members - power, cars, houses, academic success etc. Whereas Lawrence was concerned about their promises, he never knew about their conditions until he was initiated.
After being initiated, the conditions became too much for him to bear. He began to seek for a way out. Several threats from the group reached him, that if he dared to opt out, he would pay dearly with his life. Almost giving up, then he stumbled over a tract that was given him by Matilda, an old friend. The tract title was "THERE IS WAY OUT". Reluctantly, he read it. The tract claimed Jesus is THE WAY to life. Lawrence was astonished to discover that all that was required of him was just to believe all that Jesus did for him on the Cross. The promise of protection from evil was outlined, leaving him pleasantly bewildered.
Desperately, he quickly rang the hotline on the tract. A certain Mr. John picked up the call. He had just one question to be clarified; "Is that all that is required from me ...... after all I've done?" With love and warmth, Mr. John led him through the salvation story of the beautiful exchange, how the man Jesus paid the full price, taking the sinner's place. Tears of love and joy ran down Lawrence's cheeks as he fell to his knees to give his life to Christ.
Is that your story? Perhaps yours is worse; or maybe, not be as bad. Know this, whatever sin it is , Jesus has paid the full price for all of it! Many think they have done too many evil things that they don't deserve God's mercy. Others are not still convinced that salvation is as simple as believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour. Well, we all missed God's mark - none of us could hit it. God saw that what we needed was not a changed life but an exchanged one. He gave His Son to take our place so we can take His place. He offered us MERCY and GRACE which we must receive by FAITH.
"For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved" (Jn 3:17). God is not just angry with you for what you have done, but loves you for all you can be in Jesus. You may ask; "Is that all"? Yes! That's all! Salvation is not anything complex. It's all about believing in Jesus Christ, making Him not only your Saviour (From sin) but your Lord (every day to direct how you live).

Jesus loves you and wants you to give Him the chance to make your life count! What are you going to do with such a gift of Salvation? (Jn 3:18, 5:24, 17:3)
Accept Jesus into your life now and receive the Spirit of God to prosper on every side of life. Jesus is waiting for you!!!
