Held annually on Labor Day weekend, the New York Salsa Congress brings the world together for a week of Latin music, social dancing, dance performances, latin dance workshops and live bands! The New York International Salsa Congress is New York City's PREMIER Latin dance and music event where the world comes to dance no matter your style and/or age, whether you're an amateur or professional dancer

. Held for 4 days & 5 nights every Labor Day Weekend, which was rightfully declared the Official New York Salsa Dance & Music Festival Weekend by Mayor Bloomberg in 2005. For one long week enjoy Official Pre-Launch parties at different locations in New York City starting from Sunday to Wednesday before the event, then on Thursday the main event begins. With the Full Pass VIP Package you'll have the opportunity to choose from and enjoy:

Over 50 Instructional Dance Workshops from Beginner to Advanced levels in different styles of Latin dance, taught by the most sought-after, world-renowned Instructors. Our Live Concert Series with some of the most well-known and loved bands in the salsa world, plus DJs spinning the Salsa and Bachata beats so you can dance the rest of the night away. All of this and more on Labor Day Weekend, right smack in the HEART of Times Square and New York City, steps from iconic sites like the Empire State Building, Times Square, and Madison Square Garden under one roof, at the prestigious New York Marriott Maruis - 1535 Broadway, New York, NY 10036. Team NYISC's mission is to take this event to the next level and pay tribute to the CAPITAL OF THE WORLD, the MECCA OF SALSA, New York City. Last night, our very own , director of and organizer of the was honored by the Rye Brooke Police Department for his bravery & commitment to service.🎖️

In October of 2021, Abel left work and was heading home on the Huntchington River Parkway. He saw a motorist pulled over. He stopped to help and was informed that a vehicle had rolled over and fell over a ridge. Passengers had been ejected.

Abel ran down into the woods where he saw a man that said his daughter and girlfriend were injured and in the woods. Abel recovered the young girl and took her up the ridge so she could be treated quickly when EMS arrived. Abel then went back and found the woman and rendered aid to her. She was unconscious and choking, and his actions saved her life.

Abel then assisted the driver until EMS was able to take all three individuals to the hospital. The male unfortunately passed away a few weeks later, but Abel’s actions helped save the women’s lives. ✨

Abel, your incredible bravery and dedication inspire us all. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to protecting and serving the community. We are SO proud to have you as a leader in our dance community. 👏👏👏
