Fashion, culture, innovation and creativity took center stage at China Institute’s Centennial Grand Fashion Gala on September 8 at The Pierre!

The incredible evening featured Fashion Ambassadors Vera Wang and Guo Pei, alongside designers Jason Wu, Vivienne Tam, Grace Chen, Laurence Xu, Sandriver, Wang Feng, and Xiong Ying, showcasing the artistry that connects people through fashion.

We proudly honored Fern Mallis, Fadil Berisha, Ma Yanli, Lucia Liu, Bonnie Chen, Roseline Luo, Kerina Wang, and Jessica Wang.

✨ Our Young Scholar Chinese Bridge Program 2026 (YSCB 2026) has come to a close! ✨

Over 17 unforgettable days, our college students traveled through Beijing, Inner Mongolia, and Hong Kong, combining Mandarin language study with cultural exploration and meaningful people-to-people exchange.

From Chinese language classes and cultural workshops at Capital Normal University to exploring the Great Wall and Forbidden City, experiencing the grasslands of Inner Mongolia, and discovering the unique energy of Hong Kong, students experienced China from many different perspectives. Along the way, they strengthened their language skills, broadened their understanding of Chinese culture and contemporary society, and built new friendships and connections.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners, teachers, staff, and everyone who helped make YSCB 2026 possible. Most importantly, thank you to our students for bringing curiosity, enthusiasm, and open minds to every part of the journey.

The program may be over, but we hope the memories, friendships, and perspectives gained along the way will continue far beyond this summer. ❤️🌏
