Today we honor Juneteenth and reflect on the enduring importance of history, freedom, and the ongoing pursuit of justice. We are proud to share the words of Stella Adler Studio Board Member Sonia Sanchez:
“A people without a thorough knowledge of roots and history cannot move into the future, cannot rest in the proper chair of life.” — Sonia Sanchez, 1972

The Studio is closed today in observance of the Juneteenth holiday and will reopen tomorrow for classes.

Thanks to Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks 🏀 for bringing the championship trophy by the Stella Adler Studio today 😊. We knew being located on the Canyon of Heroes had its perks. Congratulations to the Knicks on a historic title and to all of New York City on a day we’ll never forget. We’re proud to be part of the fabric of a city that knows how to celebrate greatness.

The College Audition Intensive is just five weeks away! This two-week summer program is designed for rising high school juniors and seniors to help students prepare for the competitive BFA and BA theater audition process. Actors will get twenty hours a week of focused classes in actor preparation, admissions organization, and monologue performance.
