Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001. The Stella Adler Studio is located just blocks from where the attacks unfolded, making this anniversary especially close to home. A quarter century later, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, the families and communities forever changed, and all those who continue to carry the impact of that day. On this 25th anniversary, we remember, we honor, and we will never forget.

Designed for young people ages 10–11 and 12–13, these classes encourage imagination, creativity, confidence, and a love of the performing arts in a supportive environment. Today, we honor Labor Day and the countless artists, technicians, craftspeople, and professionals whose work brings theater and film to life.

We’re grateful to the unions that advocate for and protect the people who make our industry possible, including SAG-AFTRA, Actors' Equity Association, IATSE, Writers Guild of America East Writers Guild of America West, Directors Guild of America, SDC | Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and so many others.

NEW DROP-IN CLASS: Join Comedy Division Director Matt Gehring for Creating Comedy, a drop-in workshop on September 20 at 1pm. No interview necessary. Just sign up and come play. Then take your work further with The Comedy Workshop, an 8-week workshop beginning this October. And in January, dive all the way in with our Devised Comedy Winter Immersion, a 2-week intensive dedicated to creating original comedic work. The Stella Adler Studio is proud to introduce ‘The Studio Series Pathway’, a new way for actors to pursue structured, comprehensive training through our part-time workshops. The Studio Series Pathway brings structure and intention to part-time study, offering a thoughtfully curated sequence of workshops that builds from foundational skills to advanced actor training. Rather than taking individual workshops without a larger plan, students can now follow a clearly defined course of study designed to build upon each stage of their training.
