“Gaelle Virmont and Alistair Aynscombe-Danhieux approach ceramics as a dialogue—between nature and intention, instinct and reflection. Her work is shaped by the raw forces of earth and fire; his by a quiet, meditative flow of cultural memory and gesture. Together, they remind us that clay is not just a material, but a living surface where elements, stories, and inner worlds converge.”

David Haskell, the Editor-in-Chief of New York magazine, will present his first solo exhibition with Salon exhibitor, , Boom Beach, on view April 29 – June 30. The show brings together a decade of sculptural work across ceramics, bronze, and both cast and blown glass.

The work is rooted in a rugged stretch of coastline in Maine that informs his practice — abstract, materially driven forms shaped by erosion and gravity. Pieces begin as wheel-thrown ceramics in his Brooklyn studio and expand into bronze and glass through collaborations with foundries and studios in New York, Venice, and Paris, maintaining a consistent vocabulary across materials.

The opening reception is April 29th from 6-8PM at Donzella LTD.
